Holland Pigments BV was founded in 1980 and owns the majority of the shares of the listed company Holland Colours NV since April 2, 2012.
Since the founding of Holland Colours employee participation has been an important part of the corporate culture. All the employees worldwide have an interest in Holland Colours via shares Holland Pigments. The employee participation makes a major contribution to the success, and therefore the continuity, of the company.
The statutory aim of Holland Pigments as majority shareholder is to promote the stability, continuity and independence of its participation and to embed employee participation over the long term within the Holland Colours Group.
Besides the employees of the Holland Colours Group, who collectively hold around 25% of the shares, four main shareholders participate in Holland Pigments. These main shareholders endorse the importance of the employee/shareholdership model and support this by facilitating the internal market in Holland Pigments.
As investment company, Holland Pigments falls under the exemption regulation as mentioned in the Dutch Financial Supervision Act.
Holland Pigments does not conduct any operational activities.

Within the board, every 10%+ shareholder is represented by a non-executive board member.

Gert Hein de Heer (1964) represents Beheersmaatschappij 's-Heerenhove-Heerde BV, shareholder in Holland Pigments BV. His father took the initiative to found Holland Colours and Holland Pigments. Gert Hein graduated in Corporate Economy and Financing at the University of Groningen. From 1995 to 2006 he worked for Holland Colours; the last six years as CEO. He held the position of CEO at Monuta Holding N.V. until February 1, 2018.
Gert Hein de Heer was appointed as member of the Holland Pigments Board in July 2018.
Raymond Jongman (1975) represents the employee-shareholders of the Holland Colours Group on the Holland Pigments Board. Raymond has a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. He started working for Holland Colours in 2009 and is as Sales Manager EMEA mainly focussed on the Packaging Business.
Since 2020, Raymond is the HP Official for the Holland Colours locations in Apeldoorn and Gillingham. He is also the chairman of all HP Officials, with whom he jointly represents the interests of all employee-shareholders and monitors the unique culture of the Holland Colours Group. Raymond sees the employee participation as crucial for the independency of Holland Colours and feels it stimulates the mentality and sense of ownership among the employees.
Raymond Jongman was appointed as member of the Holland Pigments Board in July 2020.
Sylvia Kho (1949) is co-owner of Emco Belegging Nederland BV, shareholder in Holland Pigments BV.
She graduated as Dipl. Ing. in Chemistry from Hochshule Niederrhein in Germany and Master in Business Administration from Prasetya Mulia Business School.
She started working for Holland Colours in 1990 as co-founder of PT Holland Colours Asia, where she respectively held positions as General Manager and Director Division Asia until October 2016.
Sylvia Kho was appointed as member of the Holland Pigments Board in July 2013.
Tineke Veldhuis (1953) owns Sperlette BV, shareholder in Holland Pigments BV.
She is a co-founder of Holland Colours, where she worked from 1979 - 2015 in various management positions, including that of General Manager of Holland Colours Hungaria Kft., Director Division Asia and Director Division Americas.
Tineke is a strong supporter of ongoing collective efforts to sustain and further stimulate employee participation.

José Octavio López Presa (1960) owns FAEVS Holding BV, shareholder in Holland Pigments BV.
His father is co-founder of Holland Colours Mexicana.
José Octavio graduated as Master in Business Administration from MIT Sloan School of Management and holds a Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science.
He worked as a business and government consultant and as President of SMC Composites SA de CV.
Currently he is Managing Director of IDI Composites International Mexico, producer of thermoset molding compounds.
José Octavio was appointed as member of the Holland Pigments Board in July 2013.
Astrid Eikelenboom (1969) graduated from Hogeschool voor Economie & Management, International Business Administration.
She started working for Holland Colours in 1993 where she held positions in Finance and Legal Affairs.
Since 1998, she is only and fully responsible for the day-to-day management of Holland Pigments.
Astrid strongly believes in the added value of employee participation to the Holland Colours Group.
Being co-owners, the employees are more committed to contribute to the success and continuity of the company.
She sees it as the joint responsibility of Holland Colours and Holland Pigments to preserve and further enforce the employee participation structure.
Astrid Eikelenboom was appointed as member of the Holland Pigments Board in July 2013.
